All our shipments are insured for 100% of the item’s value — from the moment it leaves our workshop until it reaches your door. Whether your order is being shipped within France, across Europe, or internationally, we work exclusively with logistics partners who specialize in fine furniture and fragile objects.
To ensure complete peace of mind, all deliveries organized by Proisy Studio are fully insured. In the rare event of transport-related damage, we kindly ask that you contact us within 24 hours of delivery so we can initiate a claim with the carrier.
Our Delivery Services Include :
- Express Front Door Delivery: A fast and secure service straight to your door, ideal for time-sensitive shipments.
- White Glove Service: Our team or one of our trusted partners will deliver the piece directly to the room of your choice, unpack, install, and remove all packaging. This turnkey experience is designed for maximum convenience and care.
Timelines & Logistics
- In-stock items: Dispatched within 2–5 business days.
- Made-to-order pieces: Lead times vary depending on production complexity. Estimated timelines are specified on each product page.
If you have a preferred delivery date, we’ll do our best to accommodate your request, depending on international shipping constraints.

Each shipment is closely monitored by our team. You’ll receive regular updates throughout the process — from dispatch to confirmed delivery.
Using Your Own Carrier?
If you prefer to arrange your own transport or use your usual shipping provider, we are happy to assist in coordinating the pickup. Simply provide the necessary logistical details. However, please note that in such cases, Proisy Studio cannot be held responsible for any damage or disputes related to third-party shipping.
Customs & Import Fees for International Orders
At Proisy Studio, each piece is crafted with care in our French atelier and delivered to clients around the world. When ordering from abroad, please note that import duties, taxes, tariffs, or customs fees may apply depending on your country’s regulations. These additional charges are not included in the purchase or shipping price and are the responsibility of the client.

When Do These Fees Apply?
Whenever an item is shipped outside a customs union (such as the European Union), your local customs authority may apply import fees. These charges are calculated upon entry into the destination country and depend on several factors:
- The item’s value and nature
- Package weight and dimensions
- Country of origin
- Destination country
Depending on your country’s procedures, duties and taxes may be due prior to delivery, at the time of delivery, or afterward.
What to Expect: Step by Step
1. Place Your Order
Once your order is confirmed, we will carefully prepare your piece in our French workshop and ship it to your specified address.
2. Customs Clearance
Upon arrival in your country, the shipment will be assessed by your local customs authority to determine whether any duties or import fees apply.
3. Provide Required Information
Depending on your location, customs may request personal identification such as:
- Tax Identification Number (TIN, EORI, etc.)
- Social Security Number (U.S.)
- Company or VAT numbers
The shipping carrier (FedEx, DHL, UPS, etc.) will contact you directly to gather this information, provide instructions, and notify you of any applicable charges.
4. Pay Any Duties or Taxes
Import fees may need to be paid:
- Before the package is released for delivery
- At the time of delivery
- Or in some cases, shortly after
The shipping carrier will guide you through their specific process for payment.
5. Final Delivery
Once the package has cleared customs, the carrier will complete the delivery to your address.
Delays and Buyer Responsibilities
Customs-related delays are common and unfortunately beyond our control. These may extend the delivery timeline and are not eligible for shipping refunds.
As the buyer, you are responsible for paying any import charges in a timely manner. Failure to do so may result in:
- Return of the item to sender
- Additional storage or re-shipping fees
- In some cases, abandonment of the parcel, with no refund possible
If an item is returned due to unpaid import fees, you will be liable for any additional costs incurred. If you do not authorize reshipment, the item may be discarded.
Return of Shipment Due to Unpaid Customs Duties
When your order arrives in the destination country, the local customs authority may require the payment of duties, taxes, or clearance fees before the item can be released for final delivery. These charges are the responsibility of the buyer.
If the buyer fails to complete payment within the required timeframe, the customs authority may return the shipment to France. As all our deliveries are handled via insured air freight, the item will be returned using the same method.
In this case, the buyer will be held responsible for:
- The return shipping cost (air freight back to France)
- Any customs and re-entry fees incurred upon return
If the buyer wishes to receive the item again, a new delivery must be organized, and the following may apply:
- A new shipping fee, which may differ from the original quote
- A repacking surcharge, in the event new crating or protective materials are needed
If the buyer decides not to proceed with a redelivery and opts to cancel the order, the following will be deducted from the refund:
- The initial outbound shipping cost
- The return shipping cost
- A 15% restocking fee based on the item’s sale price
All related transport documents and invoices will be provided for transparency.
We strongly advise our clients to respond promptly to any customs communication in order to avoid delays, returns, or additional costs.
